America's premier gay sports bar has arrived in the decidedly decadent streets of Hell's Kitchen.
Colorful paper lanterns, tissue–paper fish and seasonal decorations hang from the ceiling. The best queer bars in NYC range from dive bars to dance clubs, with historic spots like the Stonewall Inn anchoring them all. A swirling glitterball does, however, add rather a dash of camp.
Rise Bar is proof that you can't have enough gay bars in Hell's Kitchen.
Happy hour, 2 PM to 8 PM (Monday-Friday) and Skinny Brunch, 2 PM to 8 PM (Saturday-Sunday).

This classy gay cocktail bar that has been at the heart of New York's gay scene for 25+ years.
The Townhouse has 3 bars and features nightly piano shows by New York's best performers.
Your next epic adventure’s calling.
New York has played a major role in LGBTQ+ history and it’s no wonder there are a slew of bars that have been beacons for the community (and prime party spots) for decades. Jockstrap nights and fetish events keep it raw and rowdy.
It’s a rare treat when it hits town.

9. Good Judy
What is it?This trendy Park Slope gay bar is totally where the cool queers hang out and for good reason.
Why we love it:It’s unpretentious yet stylish and offers top–notch drinks, space to chat and plenty of dance floor to groove, a true crowd–pleaser for all.
There is regular live music and events, often centred around Broadway tunes.
The bar attracts maturer mixed crowd and the 'Men At Work' type - so don't show up in leather shorts and a vintage Madonna vest. If you're feeling thirsty head to Thirsty Thursdays for an evening of hot men and hot music.
