WHO WE ARE - LGBTQ+ SCUBA DIVERS

Patrick anxiously awaited our return and had even purchased a VCR so he could watch the jamboree video the moment we returned. For now, reefs and wrecks of Broward County are home base.
Vision
Our vision is to foster acceptance and self-expression within the LGBTQIA+ diving community, advocating for environmental sustainability, and celebrating diversity.
We offer trips for all levels of divers, from instruction for new divers to advanced destinations for the experienced. As much as it seemed unthinkable to go without him, it was equally unthinkable to not see it through. The proceeds of the event are donated to charitable organizations designated by local dive clubs. He was a director within the life sciences industry and spent his days in meetings and solving technical problems and finding solutions to improve efficiencies in his organization.
A veteran diver in love with the sport and infected with the AIDS virus, Patrick’s dream was to unite all gay and lesbian divers (locally, nationally, internationally, and one day interplanetary, if possible), while raising money to fight the virus which was slowly depriving him of life. Incorporated as a charitable organization in New York State, DFL has been granted 501(c)(3) tax exempt status as an organization that uses its funds for charitable purposes.
