Not sure why the price discrepancies and increases.

Steam1

Steam1, located in downtown New Westminster, has been a welcoming sanctuary for the LGBTQ community for over 28 years. Good layout, 2 floors! The check in staff is very polite and patient. I visit both daytime or evenings. Whistler hosts a Gay Ski Week each January or February and attracts hundreds of gay skiers from around the world.

While getting my data on the system I asked about the student tariff that I saw on the price list, to what he interrupted me and told me to wait. Not that big of a place tho.

Nice facilities but most of the staff is not very friendly.

After he was done with that, he was charging me for a regular user card, to what I replied asking again how does the student card worked and handling him my student ID. He was really rude and disrespectful blaming me for wasting his time when he is the one working there, is he not the one supposed to apply the discounts for the corresponding events and answering the customers questions?

Fun time each visit 👍

Based on my personal experience on 2/16/2025, i claimed that steamwork in Vancouver has a good customer service. Vancouver's "gay village" in the West End is concentrated along Davie Street. He will charge you $17. Most of the employees will charge you $15, unless the old grumpy guy is there. With strong British and European roots, the city's growing ethnic groups include Southeast Asian, Iranian and an increasing number of Latin Americans who now call Vancouver home.

While some visitors praise the good layout, cleanliness, hot tubs, steam rooms, and play areas with a live DJ on weekends, others mention unfriendly staff members creating an uncomfortable atmosphere for patrons. Vancouver can be a rainy city, but is never the less a year-round gay-friendly destination. The popular Play Room features video booths and an elevated cruise ramp, complemented by an expanded selection of video channels catering to diverse tastes.

With a variety of themed nights, all-gender days, and special events, there's always something new to experience.

Great hot tub and steamroom. Club rules are clearly posted to ensure a respectful and enjoyable environment for everyone.

Reviews

Steamworks Baths Vancouver in Vancouver is a popular and bustling bathhouse with mixed reviews on customer service.

Vancouver has the mildest winters in the country. While doing that I checked the website and realized that I didn’t have to pay since it was a free locker for people 25 & under, which I had to mention to the receptionist since he acted as he didn’t know even though he had my ID on his hand twice. Membership required but worth it.

It’s like they’re always annoyed or something, I can’t quite put my finger on it. First-timers and the curious are encouraged to visit, with friendly staff ready to guide you through. Lots of action and play areas to explore.
