The film explores the difficulty gay couples encounter in everyday societal norms, as well as the acceptance (or lack thereof) of Filipino society with LGBTQ+ relationships.

Ang Gasgas na Plaka ni Lolo Bert (2019)

Synopsis: Sixty-year-old Lolo Bert (Dido de la Paz) has been closeted for his whole life, and he has been living with HIV for 10 years.

He leaves for Siem Reap to find himself, but there he meets Tang (Ae Pattawan), who falls in love with him.

Remington and the Curse of the Zombadings (2011)

Ang Huling Cha-Cha Ni Anita (2013)

Directed by Sigrid Andrea Bernardo, Ang Huling Cha-Cha Ni Anita follows 12-year-old Anita (Therese Malvar) as she develops a crush on Pilar (Angel Aquino), a newcomer to the town of Obando, Bulacan.

However, after discovering that his professor Karen (Jean Garcia) also teaches dance, Marlon enlists his classmate Dennis (Rocco Nacino) to help him dance. Confusing yet beautiful, Sayaw ng Dalawang Kaliwang Paa is a multi-awarded film that must not be missed.

A coming-of-age film about love and friendship, The Boy Foretold by the Stars challenges the status quo as two male schoolmates develop an intimate relationship with each other.

Dorina “Doc” Pineda (Mimi Juareza) runs a collagen-injecting business catering largely to transgender clients. A love story and also one of self-discovery, Metamorphosis is a must-see that can't be missed.

Sigrid Andrea Bernardo's "Ang Huling Cha-Cha ni Anita" (2013)

A sweet story that perfectly captures those confusing growing-up years, Ang Huling Cha-cha ni Anita tells the story of a young girl who falls into a deep infatuation with an older woman.

For his writing, Boyet draws inspiration from the happenings with his neighbor Marta (Irma Adlawan), who is currently going through tough times with her boyfriend.

Synopsis: An entry in the 64th Berlin International Film Festival, this film explores the desires of the members of Manila’s transgender community.

Doon sa Isang Sulok (2019)

Synopsis: A group of childhood friends come together for a reunion, where the openly gay Jason brings up a serious and personal matter.

Starring Gold Azeron as the film's protagonist Adam, the film explores the conditions and inner thoughts of someone who was raised as a boy but soon discovers that he is, in fact, born with two genitals. After consulting a fortune teller who predicts that he will soon find his soulmate, Dominic meets Luke (Keann Johnson) during a school retreat called Journey with the Lord.

On a quest to find her long-lost love in Cebu, Chedeng is accompanied by her best friend Apple (Elizabeth Oropesa), who, in a fit of rage, killed her abusive partner and now carries his severed head in a Louis Vuitton bag. Set amid rural Bulacan, Ang Huling Cha-cha ni Anita is a nostalgic Filipino film that's worth a watch.

A sweet love story amid the backdrop of Cambodia, I Love You.

Thank You. is a 2015 film that stars Joross Gamboa, Prince Stefan, Ae Pattawan and CJ Reyes. Throughout their budding friendship, viewers question the medley of feelings each character may have for the other. This Cinema One Originals entry is directed by Rod Singh.
