So, this DC-set season on “Love is Blind” I was pissed off, but not surprised, to see Marissa (a fellow lawyer – shout out to Marissa on getting her degree!) experiencing the same sexism that I have with her partner from the show, Ramses. That’s the latest question fans are asking about him on the internet.

Many ‘Love Is Blind’ fans are convinced that Ramses from Season 7 is gay.

They worked through some of their differences, even when it came to bigger stuff like having kids and using birth control. Marissa, a Navy veteran, had mixed feelings about her time in the service, and Ramses, who’s pretty vocal against American imperialism, found it difficult to accept her past. Even though she was ready to compromise, Ramses had already decided it was over, leaving Marissa heartbroken and questioning everything since he never provided a clear reason for breaking up.

The reunion episode of "Love is Blind" Season 7 will stream on Netflix on Wednesday, Oct.

30 at 9 p.m. While they were mostly able to sort those out and were planning their upcoming nuptials, Ramses suddenly began questioning the relationship and was worried if Marissa's energy would be too much for him to handle.

Ramses told Marissa that his experience of living with her was a huge deciding factor as he contemplated if her energy would be "too much" for him, adding that while he enjoyed it in the pods and in Cabo, he wasn't sure if he would be able to handle in everyday life.

He also revealed that he spoke to his family and found out that his ex-wife had a difficult time after their divorce, and he doesn't want to hurt Marissa.

“After being married and just, like, seeing other marriages, I just don’t think love alone is enough,” Ramses told Marissa.

You’d expect him to be understanding, but instead, he continued to pressure her for intimacy, even rubbing her when she clearly wanted space. Marissa was totally caught off guard and heartbroken when he suddenly changed his mind. And not only do I watch dating shows like “Love Is Blind,” “The Bachelor,” and “Single’s Inferno,” I’m also single and mingling out in these greater DC metropolitan area streets.

Unfortunately, Marissa seemed too naive to perceive the most obvious flaws in her partner. To best answer this, we need to analyze his entire personality first.

As you might surely be aware, Ramses is one of the most loathed characters in Season 7 of ‘Love Is Blind’ since most viewers perceive him to be phony.

He is quite clearly immature, selfish, insensitive, and full of himself, which is not even an exaggeration.

To truly understand the kind of person he is, you only need to look at his lack of support when Marissa mentioned she doesn’t want to take birth control due to its negative physical and emotional side effects. My mouth was wide open and my brow was furrowed sitting on my couch listening to Ramses say things like “oh men just don’t have to think about birth control” and “I just want sex to feel good” in response to Marissa’s totally valid thoughts on why she didn’t want to go on hormonal birth control.

That’s not all—he refused to wear a condom despite Marissa’s request, which clearly shows he prioritizes his own needs and desires over his partner’s well-being. And as for Ramses. And he can’t really have any complaints because Ramses did seem like a fake personality pretending to be charming and doing his best to make himself look like a good guy, which he unquestionably failed.

He’s performative, using woke language and ideals, but only truly applying them where it suits him best or is most convenient to himself. Well, I hope watching the show back and seeing the reaction from viewers across the country he’s properly ashamed of his behavior—and that maybe his bag gets caught in the metro door at least once.

Besides being a talking point for breaking Marissa’s heart, fans can’t stop speculating about his undergarments, too.
