Considering the show has been taking some liberties with the source material already, it could easily integrate new LGBTQ characters and storylines, as well as take the time to explore William’s homosexuality, in subsequent seasons, and therefore boost queer representation in a genre that severely needs it.

Those odd and funny poses on the photographs gave a glimpse that she enjoyed the time with Mark. As of now, he is not married.
In Invincible, he has trouble navigating his new powers and superhero identity while keeping up a normal facade at school and in his relationships. Unbeknownst to Mark, his normal human best friend, William Clockwell, is anything but normal and human.
Raised by his single police dad, William has secretly possessed powers since he was eight. In the first episode, “It’s About Time,” he tells Mark he thinks Omni-Man is “hot and all,” without knowing the superhero is really his friend’s father.
Believing William's powers stemmed entirely from the Clockwell's past magical lineage, the dad secretly trained his son, determined to protect him from government or GDA interference.
As Viltrumite's true nature comes to light and revealed Earth has had two Viltrumite hybrids this whole time, Mark discovers what it means to be the half human half alien hero Invincible.
The show's story is centered on Mark’s alter-ego Invincible as he grapples with his newfound powers, so it’s unlikely that William will get any more queer screen time for this season.

At the age of 62, Mark surprisingly prefers to spend his quality lifestyle with his family rather than exposing his personal life.
His dad, who met and with a rather mysterious woman during a hiking trip, believed she was a cult escapee given her being foreign with the most basic things and when she mysteriously vanished, only to leave baby William on his doorstep with a cryptic note. The focus is rather on Mark’s romantic life, as he has crushes on two different girls, and William acts as his hype man.
Meanwhile, William must be Willpower to figure out the mystery of his mother.
